Bear Coin Blitz

A cozy coin-merging puzzle game for Playdate! Stack coins on a grid, merge matching values, and build your fortune across four charming villages.

How to Play

Coins drop onto a 7-row grid one at a time. Place them strategically — when matching coins touch, they merge into the next denomination up!

• 5x $1 coins = 1x $5 coin
• 2x $5 coins = 1x $10 coin
• 5x $10 coins = 1x $50 coin
• 2x $50 coins = 1x $100 coin
• 5x $100 coins = 1x $500 coin
• 2x $500 coins = Coins clear from the board

Fill the grid and it's game over, so plan ahead and keep merging to survive. Multiplier tiles are created by matching gems beyond the required amount. Cascades occur  when creating a coin that is able to merge with adjacent values upon creation.

Game Modes

Journey Mode — Travel through 4 unique villages, each with its own tileset and grid layout. Clear score thresholds to unlock the next village and push toward the ultimate goal.

Endless Mode — Unlocked after completing the Journey. How high can you score with no finish line? Compete against yourself on the top 10 leaderboard.

Controls

• D-pad Left/Right — Move the coin cursor
• A Button — Drop the coin
• Crank — Move cursor (in Crank control mode)
• B Button — Pause

How to Install on Playdate

1. Download the .pdx.zip file below
2. Unzip to get the BearCoinBlitz.pdx folder
3. Connect your Playdate to your computer via USB
4. Sideload using either method:
   • Simulator: Open the Playdate Simulator and drag the .pdx folder onto the window
   • Web: Visit play.date/account/sideload and upload the .pdx folder
5. The game will appear on your Playdate home screen

Requires a Playdate console from Panic Inc.
